Central Valley Gender Health and Wellness (CVGHW) was founded in 2007 and incorporated in 2022 by a group of QTPOC individuals committed to improving the health and wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ community centering QTPOC transgender and gender non-conforming community in the Central Valley region of California. The founders of CVGHW recognized a need for more accessible and comprehensive healthcare services for the transgender and gender non-conforming community, particularly in the Central Valley area.
